Your teeth are then used to make an impression, which is used to create your custom fitted porcelain veneers. You will need a second appointment to try out your new porcelain veneers. Any necessary adjustments can be made at this time. Dr. Miller will then permanently bond your porcelain veneers to the teeth.
Is the porcelain veneers procedure painful?
A local anesthetic is used to keep you comfortable, and patients experience only mild discomfort at worst. Some temporary tooth sensitivity may be felt following the veneer placement.
What can I expect after my porcelain veneer treatment is complete?
After your porcelain veneers are placed, you will experience a period of adjustment while getting used to the new shape. Although your veneers are strongly bonded, you will need to treat them gently during the days following your appointment. Make sure you maintain clean veneers with daily brushing and flossing. Dr. Miller will ask you to come back for follow-up visit to check the success of your new porcelain veneers.

How should I care for my new veneers?
Make sure you brush and floss regularly. You can use your new veneers with the same strength and integrity of natural teeth. Be cautious with especially hard foods or candy. Pay special attention to keeping the area between the gums and porcelain veneers clean and bacteria free.
