What To Expect in Your Initial Consultation
When you come for your initial consultation, bring all your questions with you. You can even have them written down, and as you talk with Dr. Miller, you can check off each question as you get it answered.
Dr. Miller is a good listener
His first concern is to have you be comfortable in his offices, and to be comfortable, you must be informed. He’ll take time to listen to your concerns and answer your questions so that you can have a realistic expectation for the outcome of your dental work.
We regard our office staff as being our family, and our patients are part of the family too. Our entire staff will be working to enhance your experience in our offices, so that you achieve your dental goals in the most smooth, easy, and relaxed way possible.
Sleep and sedation dentistry
If you’re apprehensive about visiting a dentist, Dr. Miller understands that and therefore offers both sedation dentistry and sleep dentistry. These offerings give you the choice to be:
- Relaxed and calm;
- Drowsy and half-asleep; or
- Completely asleep
during your dental procedures. So bring this concern up during your initial consultation and together, you and Dr. Miller can decide on how much anesthesia you’d prefer to have. He’ll explain how the drug(s) will be administered, whether orally, by injection, or by an intravenous line, and advise you on self-care afterwards.
Extra sensitive teeth
If your teeth feel extra sensitive, and you’re wondering about pain control during your dental procedures, mention that to Dr. Miller. He’ll customize the anesthetic for you so that your procedures will be calm and painless. He’ll also look to see why your teeth might be extra sensitive, and advise you as to how the problem can best be dealt with.
Cosmetic dentistry
If you’re interested in having tooth whitening, porcelain veneers, or any other cosmetic procedure, Dr. Miller will discuss the options with you, after examining your teeth carefully. It might be that one procedure will be more appropriate than another in achieving a brighter smile, or that one would best be done before another. Dr. Miller can help you lay out the plan for your total dental care, so that it will fit into your schedule and your budget.
